Women's, Gender and Sexuality (WGS) Conversations

Mondays, March 11 & April 8 & 22
5-6:30 PM
Barnard 204 (CCIS Mini-Library)

WGS Conversations is a safe space for students to come and engage in conversation regarding gender, sexuality, race, class, and more beyond the confines of the classroom. Here, you will be able to bring your questions, opinions and thoughts surrounding current issues and materials discussed in class to engage in thought-provoking conversations with fellow peers. Meeting twice a month on Mondays, discussions will remain open, however occasionally there will be a set discussion topic or perhaps even a guest speaker. All majors are welcome!

On Monday, April 22, 5:00-6:30pm, the Women's, Gender and Sexuality Conversations will be held as part of "Barnard Celebrates Brazil!" There will be a discussion of issues of race and gender raised at Barnard's Fifth Annual Global Symposium in Sao Paulo, Women Changing Brazil, in March. The discussion will be facilitated by Global Symposium Student Fellows, including Women's Gender and Sexuality Studies major Adriana Moore.
